Miss Rachel GILLESPIE of our town was married to Mr. John G. MILLER of Pulaski county on the 12th.

Married on Wednesday the 18th at the resident of the bride's father, in the Cove. Mr. Rees BROWN, of Kansas to Miss Eva BROWN, daughter of Orville BROWN, Esq. Rev. M. W. DOGGETT officiating.

Mr. Jesse WHITE is able to be out again.

Miss Mattie STRAS has returned from Richmond.

Miss Luck HANKINS is recovering from her recent illness.

Martin WILLIAMS Esq., Bland C. H. was at court Tuesday.

Jno. W. CHAPMAN, Esq., has been confined to his room for a few days.

Col. MAY is still confined to his room from the effects of his wound.

Jo. CROCKETT, the popular Postmaster at Graham was in town Court day.

Miss Jennie WOOLWINE returned from Pearisburg, Wed. where she has been since Christmas.

Geo. BROWN and W. C. CECIL of Bristol - formerly of Tazewell - were visitors at town Thursday.

Capt. F. S. BLAIR on of the members of the new law firm of Blair & Watts was on the street this week.
