Mrs. Lizzie MCDONALD, nee Lizzie DOWD, died at New River Bridge a few
weeks since from cancer of the breast. She was married to Mr. Edward MCDONALD
about 1855. She leaves a kind husband and many children who miss her tender care. Lizzie spent her girlhood in
our town, and was sadly missed from our social circle. She was a near relation to many
persons here.
