Dr. James PEERY, of Indian, is spending as usual his "hay fever" season on White Top.

Dr. Thomas G. WITTEN will send two daughters to Martha Washington College this season.

Engineer in Charge J. C. RAWN, has brought his family to Tazewell. His home is at Five Oaks, about four miles east of town.

Misses Josie and Katie KELLY left yesterday on a visit to relatives and friends, the former to Marion and the latter to Estillville.

Mrs. Lavenia MORRISON, who has been visiting her sisters at this place during the summer, has returned to her home at Big Mocasin Gap.

Major TYNES has already put in wheat a portion of his town farm, thus making sure a good harvest. Progressive farming should mark the new era in Tazewell's history.
