Rev. William M. GILLESPIE, who died recently at the home of his father, Mr. David GILLESPIE, was one of the most worthy and talented of Tazewell young men. He recently graduated at Emory and Henry College with an unusual number of honors.  

Mrs. IZARD has returned home after a visit to her son Ralph IZARD.
Mr. John C. HOPKINS, of Cattletsburg Ky is visiting his brothers and sisters in Tazewell.

Miss Bertie THORNTON, sister of Mrs. L. R. DODD returned to her home in Carroll Sunday.

Miss Jennie HARMAN, daughter of Mr. Charles HARMAN, is visiting friends and relatives in town.

Mrs. H. Bane HARMAN and family have returned to town after a visit to friends in the country.

The towering form of Rev. W. H. PRICE was one of the first to be seen as the hour for conference approached.

Miss Lizzie WHITE of Bristol, is on a visit for several days to her uncle, Mr. Jesse F. WHITE, at the Central.

Mr. H.C. ALDERSON & Leola, Mrs. Jane L. P. SPOTTS, Miss Jean, Master Robert GRAHAM are at Hunters Alum.

Messrs. Felix O'KEEFFE James PEIRCE, Jo. PEERY and Lewis BRITTIAN, discounted Messrs. John W. SPOTTS and J. S. CHATWELL on their fishing expedition, having hooked upwards of 150 fine mountain trout.

Mr. J. Tate GREEVER goes about as usual before the unfortunate shooting, and with the exception of the loss of an eye apparently fully restored. Not withstanding conflicting statements regarding the shooting, he has his own and very clear ideas about the matter. His friends are glad to see him in town again.
