Lacy TYNES has entered college at Hampden Sidney. Mr. and Mrs. W.D. KROLL were up from Virginia City last week.

Miss Alice Yost, of Graham, is visiting at Mr. H. Wade STEELE'S.

James O'KEEFFE and Ashby Henry have returned to St. Albans School at Radford.

Major William P. CECIL, so well known to Tazewell people, is among his old friends this week.

Misses Joie BRITTAIN, Bessie THOMPSON and Jean GRAHAM, left Tue. for Pease Institute.

Mr. Byrd HENRY, elected commandant in the military school at Washington, NC has gone to fill his appointment.

Our old friend, Mr. Augustus BUCKANAN, father of Judge John A. BUCKANAN, is attending Presbytery and visiting Tazewell relatives.

Misses Grace and Rose WILLIAMS of Wytheville, are visiting at Dr. O'KEEFFE'S. Miss Mildred POWELL who was with them, has returned home.

Capt. Frank W. KELLY, of Saltville, formerly of Tazewell, and well remembered as a brave soldier and good citizen spent a week with relatives and old friends.

Mr. William SPRACHER, living near the Tazewell White Sulphur, lost another grown son. William, by death, Wednesday. Young SPRACHER was a man of great energy and good business habits and it was perhaps due to his continued attention to work while already ill that the attack was fatal. Still a third son is very ill with fever.
