LOCAL NEWS

The Clinch Valley Agricultural and Breeders' Association held its Annual Fair through four days of last week and while the crowds present were no so large as they have been at other times the exhibitions were much as usual. The stock exhibits were ?. The racing was the chief feature and each day found a number of fast runners, trotters and pacers on the track. At an election of officers Mr. Joseph S. GILLESPIE was made president and Mr. H.P. BRITTAIN secretary and treasurer. The retiring officers will take the same interest that they have manifested heretofore and a combination of forces will produce even better results. The following is a list of premiums awarded, aside from the ?.
