Miss Amanda and Mrs. W. O. BARNS were here this week.

Miss Etta GILLESPIE is visiting in the city.

"Cousin" William P. CECIL is here on a visit.

Mr. C. ALDERSON, now of Coeburn, spend a few days at home lately.

Mr. C.O. MCCALL and Mrs. BARBEE, of Graham, and Mrs. J. M. MCCALL; of Cedar Bluff, were visiting Mr. H. G. MCCALL this week.

Mr. R. T. BOWEN stopped here at the home of his parents on Tuesday.

Mr. James HANKINS, who has been taking a vacation in the country for several weeks, came home on Monday.

Mr. J. F. HURT, the Richlands insurance man, stopped here Tuesday for a few hours.

Mr. and Mrs. A.D. W. WALTON have returned from an extended trip to Roanoke.

Deputy Sheriff Jno. W. CROCKETT left for Pocahontas on Wednesday taking with him Messrs, C.T. PEERY, Ed. BROWN, A. LILLY, G. L. MCCLINTOCK, Kent DODD and others to protect the property there in event the striking Elkhorn miners offer to commit violence.
