Messrs. William C. and Sheffey PENDLETON of Marion are visiting friends in the county.

Misses Minnie and Hattie MOORE, of Bramwell, visited Mrs. O'KEEFFE several days this week.

The ball given by Mr. and Mrs. J. G. WATTS at their residence, east of town last week was the social event of the season.

Mr. and Mrs. A.D.W. WALTON entertained a number of their young friends at their residence on Marion Ave. Tuesday night.

Cards are out for the marriage of Miss Sallie Lou HARMAN to Mr. W.T. GILLESPIE, on the 11th. at the residence of Mr. H. Bane HARMAN on Main Street.

Mr. Millard F. STULTZ, of Elkhorn, is taking in the fair and visiting kinsfolk in town.

Mr. H.M. SMYTHE and daughter, Miss Josie, have returned from a visit to Scott County.

Mr. William MITCHELL has moved his family into the house recently occupied by the late James P. KELLY.

Miss Mattie PEERY and Messrs. C.H. PEERY and Joe MCGUIRE of Cedar Bluff, were in town during the week.

Mr. G. W. DOAK'S dog, "Drex" took the premium offered for the best collie. He also won in the sweepstakes.

D.H. LITZ, Esq. will soon receive a splendid Orchestral Organ with a nice mirror in center of top and swinging lamp complete from Prof. T.H.R CHRISTIE, Radford, Va.
