Mrs. Martha CARTER, of Tip Top, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. E.H. HARMAN, and other relatives.

Rev. A.M. FERGUSON will preach monthly at this place for a year, commencing the third Sunday in September.

Mr. H.E. ASHWORTH sold two young horses and some surplus sheep and other day.

Mr. and Mrs. G.P. MCMULLEN were the guests of Mr. Daniel CARTER, last Sunday.

Mr. C.S. CARTER is up the Keystone with week. He will return the last of the week wife and go into the merchandising business.

Mr. George T. FAULKNER was called to Mercer County, to see his brother, who has a stroke of paralysis.

We have a few young men and boys in this neighborhood who are very much like the gentleman that Capt. Newport brought to Virginia, who expected to get rich by accident or by the toil of others.

Mrs. John H. CARTER was visiting her sister, Mrs. George SINK. Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. John WALLACE went to Graham today on business.

Mr. Charles HARRY, of Falls Mills, was up visiting relatives last Sunday.

Mrs. H.E. ASHWORTH and wife were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. MCMULLIN last Sunday.
