BURKES GARDEN
                

Although this in nearly the middle of April, it continues to snow and the roads are fearful. On account of so much bad weather, farmers are very much behind with their spring work.

Misses J. Nannie HOGE, Mallie ROSENBAUM and the Misses MOSS were guests of Miss Willie DAVIS, Easter Sunday.

Mrs. Lena CALDWELL and Mrs. Will GILLESPIE, who spent several days with friends in the Garden, returned to their homes in Bristol last Wednesday.

Miss J. Nannie HOGE was the guest of Miss Annie MOSS Sunday.

Mr. Landon SNAPP and little daughter, Lucile, are boarding at Mr. C.H. GREEVERS now.

Mr. J.N. RHUDY was called to Thompson Valley Saturday to see his brother who is very sick.

Rev. James MAHOOD, of Rich Valley, preached at Central Church yesterday. The pastor, Rev. WYSE, having been asked to preach in Bland.

The Sunday School was reorganized last Sunday with the following officers: Supt. Prof. A.S. GREEVER; Asst. Supt., Mr. George MOSS; Sec. Miss May MOSS; Organist, Miss Ida GREEVER, Treas. Mr. S.R. SPRACHER.

Mr. Joe BOWEN had the misfortune of cutting his nose very badly one day last week.
