EAST BLUESTONE
                

C.J. HALE was visiting his father in law, J.B. SHANNON, last Sunday. Charles says he knows where to get plenty to eat.

Rattlehead, the West Bluestone correspondent, has gone into the patent churn business, with W.R HARMAN as assistant and builder of churns.

We were surprised the other day when we met two of our citizens. We thought they were drunk from the way they were yelling and waiving their hats, but when we learned the cause of their performance it was that A. ST. CLAIR had bought a binder and had proposed to cut their 40 acres of fine wheat, said to be the best in the county.

Mrs. T.B. DRINKARD, of Bluefield, has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. NASH, for several days past, as her mother has been quite sick but is some better at this writing.

We were delighted to see A. A. CARTER at church last Sunday as he has not been able to attend for some time.

Any one wishing fresh fish can apply to D. H. BIRD. He says he is going to fish his mill pond, and put them on ice for the market. And by the way, he don't look as pleasing as we have seen him because it is a girl.

Pierce MCDOWELL of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee is visiting his parents, William SUMMERS and wife and other relations and friends on Bluestone.

Walter RUBLE has gone to Elkhorn to work. He says prosperity has struck him in a fresh place.
