GENERAL NEWS
                

Judge J.H. STUART has been confined to his room most of the week by sickness.

Mr. C.W. GEORGE will leave next Monday with his family for his new house in Missouri.

Dr. F.P. LANDON, J.W. CRAWFORD, supt. of Browning Mines, of Pocahontas, was in the city on Monday.

Mrs. W.A. WARD, of Paint Lick, was shopping in town several days this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank HOWARD are visiting this week their son at Iaeger, West Virginia.

Rev. Mr. MOWBRAY was in the city Tuesday in his wagon - hunting Santa Claus goods, of course.

Mrs. J.T. KENDRICK and the children, of North Tazewell, returned on Tuesday from a visit to Richlands.

Judges R.C. JACKSON, J.H. FULTON and S.W. WILLIAMS, who have been here for circuit court have returned to Wytheville.

John D. DALEY, who is as widely known and has as many friends probably as any citizen of the county, went to Welch on Tuesday on business.

Miss Elizabeth TILLER is at Tip Top visiting Mrs. Jon GROSECLOSE.
