BURKES GARDEN
                

Mrs. Polly FULLER, of Cavitts Creek, is spending several weeks with friends and relatives in Burke's Garden.

Mrs. Nannie GILLESPIE, from Graham, is visiting in the Garden now.

Rev. J. H. WYSE preached two excellent sermons yesterday - one at Central Church in the morning and one at Glade church in the afternoon.

Miss Mary BROWN, from the Cove, is visiting her sister, Mrs. CROCKETT.

Dr. C.W. GREEVER, of Tazewell, was the guest of Mr. John H. GREEVER Sunday night.

Miss Laura GREEVER and Mr. Trubie SUITER were the guests of Miss J. Nan HOGE last Monday.

Miss Fannie GROSECLOSE, who has been spending several weeks in Tennessee expects to return home this week.

Prof. A.S GREEVER has a large school now than for several years. He has an enrollment of 98 and the music class numbers about 20 now.

Mr. B.R. MOSS is having a new house erected on the old site.

Rev. James MAHOOD, of Ceres, visited his son George Sunday night.

Mr. Jim SPRACHER who is attending school here went to his home near Tazewell Friday.
