A very pretty home wedding at the bride’s home, two miles East of town, took place on Wed. at 11:30am when Miss Edith Viola WHITMAN became the wife of Mr. Oliver Napoleon HILL. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. KELLEY, pastor of the Methodist Church. There were no attendants. Members of the family, and a number of invited guests - immediate friends of the bride - were present. Among those present were Mrs. Dr. HILL and Mrs. BLAIR, mother and aunt of the groom, of Wise. The bride is the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Whitman, prominent and well known people of this community, and is a young lady of refinement and many noble traits of character, and deservedly popular with a wide circle of friends. The groom, Mr. HILL is a son of Dr. HILL of Wise, and a bright and worthy young man. At present he is engaged in business at Big Stone Gap. Mr. and Mrs. HILL left on No. 16 Wed. for a tour of Eastern cities.
