GENERAL NEWS

Rev. R.E. ELMORE has resigned the pastorate of the Christian Church here, and will engage in evangelistic work altogether. His resignation takes effect June 1st. It is not known who will be his successor.

Ads -Children's Pictures should be taken often. The many changes in a child as it develops are the more noticeable when you have good photographs taken at frequent intervals. In later years, a collection of these pictures will be a priceless treasure. They are a valuable addition to any collection when made at BLACKS ART STUDIO, Tazewell, Va.

Ten years of cloth and a mile of thread isn't the whole story of a good suit - not by several thousand stitches. It takes tailoring brains in plenty and mighty clever craftsmanship to make clothes in the right way - the SCHLOSS way.

Further than this, the looks and life of a suit depend more on the little details than you could imagine. For instance simply the placing of the buttons and the shape of the lapel have everything to do with the final appearance of a coat, while such a trifle as the proper moulding of a curve makes all the difference between a beautiful garment and a meal sack.

If you could take an X-Ray glance at the interior of a SCHLOSS coat, you'd find the same careful attention to details that you see outside. Linings, stays, and paddings - the framework of the structure - are made to wear, not merely to sell.

The result of this care is a finished garment that looks and is extraordinarily good. It fits that way, too, and wears that way as a matter of course. An occasional pressing makes it keep that "new look" indefinitely.

We handle the Schloss line because we know there is none better and never found any as good. We have all the new styles and shapes, of course, in the most desirable colors and patters. HARRISSON & GILLESPIE BROTHERS.
