Rufus HARMAN died yesterday at the home
of his brother, W.C. HARMAN, of typhoid-pneumonia. Mr. HARMAN was married
and leaves three brothers and one sister, besides a host of friends to mourn his sad
death. W.C. HARMAN, with whom he had made his home for some time, is recovering
from a mild attack of typhoid. Gratton HARMAN, nephew of deceased deserves special
commendation for his faithfulness as nurse in the sickness of father and uncle.
J.D. TICKLE is on the sick list this week.
J.H. SUMMERS was shoeing a young horse which struck him in the side with the point
of the hock. A fractured rib was the result.
Mrs. A.J. RITTER visited home folks last week.
Miss J. Nellie HOGE visited her cousin, Mrs. Crockett BOWEN, last week.
The school has not been going on for several days on account of the imminent weather and
lack of fuel.
Our mail carrier, J.A. NEEL, failed to make his round last Wednesday. He started
bravely, but had to turn back.
