TIP TOP

James MCMULLIN, son of Mrs. Maggie MCMULLIN, of Tip Top, was so unfortunate as to either fall and break his leg, or was kicked by a horse, which he was feeding at the time, on last Friday. Dr. BOWEN came down from Tazewell and he and Doctors PYOTT and REYNOLDS set the broken limb and he is doing nicely.

Myrtle SAUNDERS fell and broke a bone in her wrist one day last week, but it did not keep her from going with her brother Walton to the Firemen's picnic on the 5th at Eggleston Springs, where the had a great time.

Miss Ella MCDOWELL, with her niece, Miss Pearl SAUDERS, were in Bluefield and Graham on last Saturday shopping.

Green WAGNER and Henry BOWEN returned from Bland county on last Saturday. GREEN says that the corn on Walker's Creek is so tall that they will have to get some of the balloon men to do the husking this fall.

Some of the young folks of the community went down to the unveiling at Pearisburg last week, where they were much delighted with the time they had. Long live the Daughters of the Confederacy. May be never forget the tradition of our Southland.

Most Worshipful Master Brother George W. WRIGHT, of Marion, Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Virginia Masons is holding schools in instruction at different lodges in Tazewell. He was in Pocahontas last week, and is now in Graham. Some of the members of the Keystone Lodge have been attending part of the time. The grand lodge officers were in attendance at the laying of the corner stone at Pearisburg.

Harvey and Earnest MCMULLIN, the two children of Mrs. Maggie MCMULLIN of Tip Top, are here from Richmond Masonic Home to see their mother, sister and brother, whom they had not seen for about three years. They will return to Richmond in a few days.
