Logan RINGSTAFF, who had his leg broken about fourteen weeks ago, is still on crutches.
Robert PETTS, who underwent a serious surgical operation last week at Dr. Williams sanitarium at Richlands, is reported as improving.

Miss Rebekah DAVIS is now a Baptist, the saddle turning Monday with her, and precipitating her into Clinch River. She should ride the only safe way, astride, in the future.
The many friends here of Mrs. D.B. HUMPHREY are grieved to hear of her mother's severe illness at her home at Matewan. She has blood poison, and her recovery is not expected.
H.W. CHRISTIAN, pumper here, is spending his fifteen days vacation working on his residence.
John ASBURY and son, Will, spent sometime last week visiting relatives at Saltville. The latter has gone to Bristol.
W.B. STEELE went to Tazewell Saturday and to Richlands today.
