GRATTON

B.L. PECK is on the sick list this week.

Miss Lula BAUGH is visiting her cousin, Miss DUDLEY, at Hockman.

Miss Nina MILLER, of Tacoma, returned to her home last Friday, after a weeks visit at the home of Mrs. W.R. BURTON. Miss MILLER was very much impressed with Tazewell County, as all are who visit here.

Mr. and Mrs. George C. LEEDY, of Kimball West Virginia, spent several days with Mr. LEEDY'S aunt, Mrs. W.R. BURTON.

Mr. LEEDY is an N and W yard conductor and is on his vacation.

S.W. BOURNE and Marvin BURTON are very busy putting up their meadows. They say they are fine, but nobody can notice any haystacks. They are watching and waiting patiently for their ragweed to grow, suppose they are going to winter their sheep on weeds.

The S.S. convention will be held at Mt. Olivet Saturday beginning at 9am.

Mr. BEVINS is not as well this week as usual.

S.W. BOURNE gathered quite a crowd Sunday evening in his wagon and took them to Mt. Olivet to preaching. We thought they were all Methodists but they had all been converted to Baptists when they came back, even Sam.
