VARIOUS ITEMS
                

Mr. John SLUSS, aged 77 years, died at the home of his nephew, F. SLUSS, near Tip Top on August 2nd. On the same day, his brother, James SLUSS, in his 80th year, died at his home nearby. The funerals and burials of both took place the same day, the services being conducted by Rev. James GILLESPIE. James SLUSS leaves a large family. His sons are: Fortunatus, Rages, John H., F.C., M.T. M.C. and J.C. SLUSS. His daughters are: Mrs. C.W. BOWMAN, Mrs. R.J. SHRADER, Mrs. F.M. PEERY, and Mrs. H.E. TABOR, Eleven children living, two are dead. The SLUSS family is a large one of this county, and the death of these two aged brothers occurring on the same day is an unusual occurrence.
