Mr. J.C. LEIGH, of Norfolk, who is connected with
the N. and W. R.R. spent last Sunday in Raven with friends at the
Domestic Coal Co. This is Mr. LEIGH'S first visit to the mines in
this part of the country and he expressed his delight at being able to
be present at this time.
Miss Estelle RANSOM, of North Tazewell, spent the weekend with
Mr. J.C. PRESS. She reports a must enjoyable visit.
Mr. Jack TARTER returned last Friday from his home near Witten's
Mill's where he spent Thanksgiving day. Jack went hunting in the
afternoon of that day and made the game live hard. Sorry we are unable
to quote figures.
Miss Lonnie B. EARLEY returned Sunday afternoon from a very
enjoyable visit to friends in Bluefield.
Mr. Paris LAMBERT called at the Domestic Coal Co. one day last
week. He is doing well with his new store at Red Ash.
Miss Willie POLLOCK returned Sunday from Norton, where she
attended a Thanksgiving house party given by one of her friends. She
reports a fine time.
Dr. CUNNINGHAME and wife, who have been spending the past month
at Davy West Virginia returned to Richlands last Friday. We extend to
them a cordial welcome, and while it is not definitely known where they
will locate, we hope to have them with us again.
We are sorry to report that Mr. Tom LAMBERT was somewhat
indisposed last Saturday, but glad that he was able to be out Saturday
night.
