Mrs. James O'KEEFFE spent last week visiting her sister in law, Mrs. R.K. GILLESPIE.

Misses Pearl MCGUIRE and Rosalie EARLY of Cedar Bluff spent Wednesday night and Thursday visiting Miss Uva STEELE.

Mrs. James E. MCGUIRE and Miss Mildred MCGUIRE rode up from Cedar Bluff yesterday afternoon and spent some time with their relatives.

Rex Steele ALDER, of Bondstown, returned from a two weeks visit to his aunt, Mrs. T.A. REPASS at Tazewell, and left on No. 11 yesterday to spend a few days with is grandmother, Mrs. J. Marion MCGUIRE at Cedar Bluff.

Mrs. M.J. STURGILL has about recovered from a recent attack of biliousness.

Mrs. A. A. KERR, nee Miss Carrie WILLIAMS, and little son, Harry of Tennessee, are spending sometime with her aunt, Mrs. Rebekah WILLIAMS.

Mr. and Mrs. R.M. SPARKS spent Sunday visiting Rev. and Mrs. J.E. LINKOUS at Cedar Bluff.

Byrd BRUSTER, bridge man had the misfortune to get his left leg cut off below the knee recently at Eckman, WV. While boarding the bridge car. He is in the Bluefield hospital.

Miss Maude, the pretty daughter of Mrs. Sarah STEELE drove over to Cedar Bluff last Wednesday evening, the 19th and was married to Mr. C. C. BOLES, of Lee County, in the parlors of the Blue Sulphur Inn.

Mrs. John ASBURY and little son, Eddie WINTERS, spent several days visiting relatives in Smyth County. Mrs. Ollie HURT has returned from a pleasant visit to her sister, Mrs. J.H. KELLY in South Dakota. Miss Gussie CHRISTIAN is clerking for the Pounding Mill Supply Company.
