J.T. ALTIZER was a business visitor at Cedar Bluff yesterday.  John GILLESPIE visited his brother Will at Knob, Sunday.  Prof. J. J. HOBACK made a business trip to Cedar Bluff yesterday.

Miss Bessie BROWN spent Saturday night and Sunday visiting Mrs. Wyrene MAXWELL at Maxwell.

Joseph SMITH, son-in-law of Rev. G. R. THOMAS had the misfortune of getting two of his toes mashed off Saturday while operating the RINGSTAFF crusher, his foot slipped.

Mrs. Susan RINGSTAFF and daughter, Mrs. Dock ALTIZER and baby, are visiting their daughter and sister, Mrs. M. MULKEY in Graham, and friends in Davy.

Rev. PANGLE preached his last sermon here, Sunday at 3:30 for this year, many said it was a fine sermon.

Mrs. W.B. STEELE and daughter, Miss Uva, attended the funeral and burial of their relative, Mr. William Floyd MCGUIRE on Sunday at Cedar Bluff. Funeral took place at 2PM. Mr..... (must be a missing line) from his old home now occupied by his nephew, J. Ed. MCGUIRE, burial in Claypool Cemetery. A very large number of relatives, neighbors and friends were present.

Mr. John B. ELSWICK and daughter, Mrs. Robert CRABTREE of Belfast Mills, are visiting his sister Mrs. Lou ROBINETT.

W.R. SPARKS and sister, Mrs. Charles GRIFFITH, returned Sunday from a two weeks visit to several points east. Will REES had a most enjoyable time at the opening reception at Virginia Christian College.

Miss Lettie RINGSTAFF clerked for the Pounding Mill Supply Company, during W. R. SPARKS absence.
