Hog killing is the order of the day, some very fine ones have been slaughtered today.

Will Rees SPARKS, bookkeeper for a big concern in McComas, WV., who has been on the sick list is spending a few days with his parents Mr. and Mrs. R.M. SPARKS. He visited his sister, Mrs. Norman TURNER and family at Ada, WV on his way home.

Mrs. M.J. STURGILL returned Sunday from a few days visit to Mrs. Mamie BILLIPS and family, Gary, WV.

Mr. and Mrs. Morgan TATE and two children left today for Nemours, WV., to spend the winter with his brother, William and George, Mr. TATE is still unable to work.

S.T. SPARKS, bridgeman, returned to Richlands Sunday after a ten days sick spell.

We failed to note last week that Messrs. Claude and Walter THOMAS have returned to their respective business in Williamson, West Virginia. and Maryland, respective; they visited their brother Thomas in Roanoke, and took in the ball game between V.P.I. and V.M.I.


Mr. Albert MAXWELL, bridgeman, was here from Richlands Sunday to visit his children, Misses, Marie, Mona and Orin, who attend school here.

Mrs. Rees HOWERY, Pisgah, Mrs. William YOST, of Baptist Valley visited their cousin and friends, respective Mrs. R.M. SPARKS.
