Dr. W.I. HALL, the well known physician of North
Tazewell, died last Monday at a sanitarium near Columbus Ohio, where he
had been under treatment several weeks. The remains reached North
Tazewell on yesterday morning, and the funeral and burial took place
from his late home at 11 o'clock. He was about forty four year old.
Besides a widow, he leaves two young children. His father, T.K. HALL;
one sister, Mrs. SMITH, of Bluefield and a brother, Dr. Conner
HALL, of Welch, survive. Deceased was a brilliant man and a fine
physician, and but for the unfortunate condition of his health would
have no doubt risen to eminence in his profession. He was popular with
his patients, and was a successful practitioner. It is said that his
record as a medical student was extraordinarily brilliant, and
determination to complete his course in a shorter time than was allotted
led him to resort to means which in the end proved his undoing, and cut
off his career at an age when he should and otherwise would have been a
great physician. His wife, who was a daughter of the late Captain C.A.
FUDGE, and his entire family have the deepest sympathy of the
entire community.
