The news reached town Tuesday morning of the sudden death of Mrs.
PEERY, wife of Joseph PEERY, at her home at Glade Springs. Mr. and Mrs.
PEERY were residents of Tazewell several years ago. Mr. PEERY is a brother of the late Jas. S.
PEERY. Besides her husband, Mrs. PEERY is survived by a number of children - John R.
PEERY, Albert PEERY, Joseph B. PEERY, Robert PEERY, Price
PEERY and Mrs. KEYS, of Glade Springs and Mrs. R. Britt
PEERY, of Marion. Mr. James Ed PEERY of Tazewell left on Tuesday night for Glade Springs to be
present at the funeral and burial.
Floyd GILLESPIE, esq. of Clear Fork, was in town Monday on business, this being his first visit to town for several weeks.
Mrs. Charles ROSSEAU, of Doran, is visiting homefolks here this week.
Dr. Thomas E. PEERY, of Bluefield, was here on business this week.
Mrs. Mary BROWN and daughter, Miss Blanche, were visitors to Graham and Bluefield this week.
Mrs. William Ed PEERY was the guest of her mother, Mrs. CROCKETT, in Graham this week.
John T. WATKINS, the Lynchburg traveling man, was here interviewing the merchants this week.
B.W. STRAS, who has been with Mrs. STRAS in Baltimore for several weeks, returned to Tazewell the first of the week.
Mrs. F.G.S WATTS, Mrs. Thomas SMITH and John H. A. SMITH, of Elk Garden, were in Tazewell, Wednesday.
Mrs. W.B. STEELE, of Pounding Mill, was shopping in Tazewell Wednesday.
