FLOOD, who died in Washington last week.
Miss Virginia POBST, who is attending Roanoke Business College, was operated on last Monday for appendicitis. She is said to be rapidly recovering.

Tu for NY where he sailed on the 15th for his home in Liverpool, England. Mr.
YAXLEY hopes to return to this country next spring if business conditions improve.

Miss Pearl RHUDY, a popular teacher in the Tazewell High School, ran her ford car into a Hudson car on the street here Sunday afternoon and the "Lazzie" was in the hospital for several days. Doctor
WALKER soon had the machine in as good condition as before the accident. Miss
RHUDY nor the occupant of the car, Miss Mamie PEERY, were injured in the accident.
