On Saturday, April 29, Miss Mary Ethel WIMMER, daughter of Mrs. C.A. WIMMER, Thompson Valley, and Mr. Fred Henderson MCCALL, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.E. MCCALL, Shraders, Virginia, motored to Tazewell and were united in marriage, Rev. A.S. ULM officiating. The wedding was a very quiet affair. The bride was accompanied from her school by Miss Mary Lee BROWDER of Mecklenburg County, Mr. Roy R. MCCALL, brother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. A.V. HARMAN and daughter. The bride was becomingly attired in blue taffeta with accessories to match. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party left for the home of the bride. The happy couple will make their future home in Berwind, West Virginia. May all happiness attend them is tho wish of their many friends. M.T.B.

Mr. Robert MARSH and Miss Grace LEWIS, of Boissevain, were quietly married last Wednesday evening at the home of Rev. R.L. LEONARD. The bride is the charming young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.R. LEWIS. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.M. MARSH, who accidentally shot and killed himself here a few weeks ago. They will make their home here.

Miss Mary HARRIS died last Saturday 29th at her home in Richlands, of tuberculosis, aged 19 years. Daughter of Mr. Charles HARRIS, the only child. The funeral was conducted in Christian church, of which she was a member, on Sunday afternoon, by Rev. Mr. ARROWOOD, of Tazewell, in the presence of a very large concourse of people. Deceased was a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. HORTON, of Alfredton. It is thought that she contracted tuberculosis about 4 years ago. She was sent to Catawba, and other places for treatment, and every possible effort made to save her life. Her parents and family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community, and are very grateful to all the good people of Richlands for kindness shown.
