April 1 - Chas. W. FLECHER, who is in Grace hospital, is improving rapidly from an operation for appendicitis.

Mrs. W.B.KIRKPATRICK and Mrs. Allen THOMPSON wee in Welsh on Thursday.

Mr. George BALLARD is visiting parents in Peterstown, W. Va.

Mabel Waldron was visiting relatives in Welch and Wilcoe Saturday and Sunday.

Hazel Witt has returned to school after three week of illness.

The N. H. boys of basketball and football received their letters "N.H.S." for faithfulness in the games.  Those receiving, "N.H.S." were:  Cosby Otey, Stafford Trent, Gerold Anderson, Robert Willard, James Wiggins, Delmas Watson and Lewis Cope.  Those receiving "N" were:  Arnold Bower, Walter Hughes, Billy Wray, Slever Nagy, Jessie Ramsey, Cope Setliff.

Gerold and Paul Anderson were suddenly called from school Friday on account of the death of their grandmother.

S.S. Cowan and family were visiting mother in Tazewell Sunday.

Mr. S.F. Earnest is very ill at this home at this writing.
