Mrs. Aaron RUSS, who has been on a visit to her parents in Eastern Virginia, returned to her home here Monday night. Misses Evelyn and Elizabeth
RUSS, who have been visiting their grandparents in Honaker, have also returned.
Shawyer Mills 4-H Club will give an ice cream social at Kinzer’s Chapel Saturday, July 26 at 5:00 p.m. The money raised will help club members to Blacksburg to the State Short Course. Come out and get some good ice cream.
Mrs. Rose HUMPHREY on her way to the big picnic at Pisgah on Wednesday, called by the office to transact business with the bookkeeper. With her was little Miss Helen Buchanan, the pretty daughter of M. G.
BUCHANAN, Mrs. HUMPHREY'S son-in-law.
John B. ADAMS, the well known lumber man and all around business man, was here this week on business.
By a recent decision of the Supreme Court of Virginia an owner of an automobile is liable for damages for injuries sustained by a guest in his car. An invitation to ride or request makes no difference, an injury while in the care by accidents or what not, lays owner liable.
Duak (spelling) DAVIDSON, Superintendent of Warrior Mines, was a business visitor to Tazewell Thursday. Mr.
DAVIDSON is a very enthusiastic Shriner, having recently gotten his money’s worth at a ceremonial in “Bluefield.”
Dan LYNCH returned his Buick to the West Virginia authorities, not being able to positively identify it as the one stolen from his last October. The car was captured at Wehell (spelling) full of liquor last week as stated in this paper.
