LOCAL TAZEWELL
                

Miss Helen Lake BOTTIMORE was hostess to a few of her friends with a dinner party at her home in West Tazewell on Thursday evening. The guests were: Miss Frances BARRETT, John MASTIN, Maurey BARRETT, and Mrs. Sidney HIGGINBOTHAM.

Mr. J. B. CAUDILL has been having a pleasant visit with friends and relatives in Glade Springs, Little Valley, and other points.

Mrs. John HOOPS left Wed. to enter the Bluefield Sanitarium for an operation.

Miss Alverta GREEVER was guest of her sister, Mrs. Howard SALE, Lynchburg, last week

Mr. and Mrs. Walter MILLER, of Norfolk, are here on a visit to Mrs. MILLER'S parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. WHITLEY.

Miss Ollie Kate BRITTIAN and sister, Mrs. Alex ST. CLAIR, Buddy BRITTIAN and Barnes GILLEPSIE Jr. are on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Mark LEWIS, Bethany, W.V.

Mrs. Joseph ROSENBAUM entertained with a bridge luncheon, complimentary to the Senior Bridge Club, at her home on Friday afternoon. A number of guests enjoyed the hospitality of Mrs. ROSENBAUM.

Mrs. C. B. DICKENSON, wife of the North Tazewell minister, is spending several days in Lee County.

Mrs. Sada Whitley SHELTON and children, Bluefield Va., spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rees WHITLEY at North Tazewell.

Mr. J.N. HARMAN Jr., well-known attorney of Welch, W.V. son of Mr. and Mrs. J.N HARMAN, of Tazewell, is recovering rapidly from an operation in a Richmond hospital. The operation was performed this week.

Mr. C.L ALEXANDER, of Graham, was a business visitor here on Thursday.
