The Tazewell Civic League, with Mrs. Joe
ROSENBAUM, president and Mrs. B.W. STRAS, Jr. secretary, met in the high school building Monday afternoon for the purpose of organizing committees which will more effectively aid the local school in solving its multitudinous problems in connection with its operation and equipment. A committee was appointed for each grade of the school to work with the teacher in such grade and aid her in every way possible in getting the best results possible from her work. The League has undertaken to
equip the teachers rest room with furniture. The committees appointed are as follows: 1st grade - Mrs. O.C.

Rev. W.P. EASTWOOD, former pastor of the Main Street Methodist church in this town, but now of East Radford, delivered a sermon Wednesday before the Holston Conference The conference is in session at Johnson City, Tenn.
