Mrs.
A.B. LONGWORTH, of Bluefield, Va. died at her home at that place
Tuesday night, at the age of
69. Mrs. LONGWORTH had been ill for several weeks, suffering
from complications. Mrs.
LONGWORTH
had lived in Bluefield, Va. for more than forty years, and she
was one of the oldest members of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. Her husband,
connected with the Norfolk and Western
Railway for a number of years, died about two years ago.
Two daughters also preceded her to the grave. Mrs. LONGWORTH is
survived by one son, R.L. LONGWORTH, popular and well known
representative of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, and by one
daughter, Mrs. P.H. LAWLESS, Berwind,
WV. and two sisters, Mrs. Dora MONROE and Mrs. Etta
WIMMER, of Roanoke.
George
M. FARMER, aged 35, brother of Trigg H. FARMER, of near
Tazewell, died Monday night in Wytheville. Burial occurred in
West Graham. Besides his widow he is survived by two sisters,
his stepmother, one half sister and three half brothers, all of
Tazewell Road.
John
H. SMITH, a native of Tazewell County, died last Wednesday at
his home in Princeton, West Virginia. Mr. SMITH was a veteran of
the Spanish-American War. Funeral services occurred last Friday
and burial was made in the cemetery at Sand Lick. His widow, two
sisters and a brother survive.
