Mrs. J.P. McKenry and her sister, Miss Sammy Scott, entertained last Thursday morning with a prenuptial breakfast in honor of their sister, Miss Lucie Scott, who was married on Tuesday to Mr. Henry Lancaster, of Farmville. They also honored Miss Nancy Johnston is to become the bride of J. A. Eangle, of Hopewell.

Saturday afternoon Miss Nancy Johnston was honored by Mrs. Joseph Gillespie and Mrs. Barnes Moore, who entertained with bridge.

Miss Johnston was honored Wednesday at the home of Misses Nell and Lena Greever.


Mrs. John Boggess entertained last Friday afternoon at her home for Miss Scott and Miss Johnson, and Miss Rachel Royall entertained on Monday while on Wednesday afternoon Miss Virginia Copenhaver was the hostess at a kitchen shower.

On Wednesday morning, June 28, Miss Mary Corell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Corell, of Asberry's was married to Mr. Stuart Neal, of Chatham Hill. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Nickels at the home of the bride in the presence of a few relatives. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served. Mrs. Neal is a graduate of Tazewell High School and of Radford State Normal and for the past two years has been teaching in Tazewell County. Mr. Neal is a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Neal, of Chatham Hill, and for the past years has been working in Kingsport Tenn. Mr. and Mrs. Neal left for a motor trip thru the Shenandoah Valley and upon their return will make their home in Poor Valley.
