GRATTON & TAZEWELL
                

Mrs. Sam BURTON and little daughter, Madeline, accompanied by Mrs. Jennie MCFARLAND, motored to Keystone last Thursday. She returned home Monday.

Miss Ada BURTON spent the weekend at home. She was accompanied by Mrs. Elizabeth SCHAFFER of Bluefield, Va.

Mr. S.W. BOURNE is not so well at this time.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Ed YOST a daughter, on Tuesday, the 15th.

Misses Lula BAUGH and Arley Melvin went to Pulaski with Miss Allison to attend the club meeting.

Mrs. M.L. BURTON spent the day with her mother Tuesday, who has been ill.

Mrs. Joe LAWSON is very ill at this writing.  Mr. P.G. BAUGH is not so well at this time.

Tazewell - Georgie Peery MOORE, wife of Joe MOORE, of the Blacksburg section of North Tazewell, died April 14 in a Richlands hospital. She was 44 years of age and was a daughter of the late James PEERY. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church and were in charge of Rev. DICKENSON and MILLER. Several sisters and brothers survive.

On Monday, April 8th, Mrs. W.B. HAMBY gave a birthday party in honor of her daughter, Wynoka who was six years old. Those present were: Betty Ann ANDREWS, Agnes HOUSTON, Peggy SMITH, Betty Jane LAMPERT, Rita NESTER, Kenneth JONES, Cletis NESTER. Wynoka received nice presents. After games were played refreshments were served.
