Wiley TAYLOR, of North Tazewell, was fined $10.00 for reckless driving. He was charged with backing into the car of Woodrow LOVE.

The Gift Shop at the Martha Washington Inn at Abingdon will show an exhibit of Arts and Crafts by Mrs. G.A. POBST on Friday, March 29th. A collection of botany prints of wild flowers in water colors will be displayed, mounted months and insects, metal and leather craft and wood burning. A collection of "Deep South Dollies" made by Mrs. John W. GILLESPIE will also be shown at this time. The shop will serve tea from 2 to 5 and all interested are cordially invited.

Miss ALLISON announces a series of meetings to be held next week in connection with yard improvement work sponsored by the Home Demonstration Clubs in the county. Mrs. Mary C. MCBYRDE Landscape Gardening Specialist fro the Extension Service in Blacksburg will be in the county to conduct there meetings. The following schedule has been arranged: Burke's Garden Tuesday, 10:30 A.M., school house. Shawver Mill, Tuesday, 1:30 PM, Mrs. J.H. NEEL'S Home. Tannersville, Wednesday, 10:00 PM, Mrs. Carl KINDER'S Home. Tannersville, Wednesday, 1:30 PM, Mrs. C.W. ASBERRY'S Home. Shawver Mill Rural Youth, Wednesday 7:30 PM, Ralph FOX'S Home. Thompson Valley, Thursday, 2 PM, Mrs. W.T. BUCHANAN'S. Tazewell High School, Thursday Night, 7:30 PM. Gratton, Friday 9:30 AM at Mrs. W.B. YOST'S Home. Liberty, Friday, 2:00 PM at Mrs. Hugh HUMPHREY'S Home. All members and other interested persons are invited to attend the meetings.

Contractor Cleve JONES states that he has orders for two new homes to be erected in West Tazewell. One is for Albert MCCALL and one for Dr. J.A. REESE. MCCALL'S house will go up on a lot recently purchased from C.R. MOSS, and Dr. REESE will use the lot adjoining the district parsonage.
