Mrs.
Lettie MARTIN, aged 80, wife of the late Albert MARTIN, died at
the home of her daughter Mrs. Henry WRIGHT, in Delbarton, WV
Sunday. Mrs. MARTIN was born and spent most of her life in
Tazewell Co, having lived at Cedar Bluff for several years,
later making her home in Richlands with son. Funeral services
were conducted from Layman's Chapel in Richlands Monday. She is
survived by six children, one brother, 46 grand children and 38
great grandchildren.
Death
came unexpectedly to James B. NEAL, a Tazewell county man, who
passed suddenly in a Norfolk hospital Sunday from a heart
attack. So far as was known here he was in normal health when he
went East a few weeks ago to seek employment. The body was
brought to his former home in Freestone Valley Tuesday and
interment took place Tuesday afternoon. Deceased was a son of
the late John A. and Mrs. NEAL, and is survived by two brothers,
Ed. NEAL and Joe NEAL of Thompson Valley. He was a veteran of
the World War. There also survives several children.
Miss Maggie RUBLE, 69 years of age, died last
week at the home of her sister in law, Mrs. J. W. RUBLE on the
Old Princeton Road. Miss RUBLE was stricken with paralysis last
Wednesday and suffered another stroke Thursday. She was born at
Shawver Mill. There
survives four sisters, and one brother.
