GENERAL NEWS
                

William C. LAWSON, 66 a retired employee of the N&W railway, died Sunday morning at his home at Maxwell following a paralytic stroke seventeen days ago. He was a son of Floyd and Rebecca Deskins LAWSON, both of Tazewell County. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Belle STEVENSON; a son William LAWSON of Bluefield; three daughters; Mrs. Esther BEARE and Mrs. Carol CONLEY, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Hazel ASBURY of Pounding Mill; seven grand children; two sisters, Mrs. Callie COCHAN, of Cedar Bluff and Mrs. Harriett CHRISTIAN, of Glenoma, Wash., a brother, Albert LAWSON of Pulaski. Funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday by the Rev. W.E. MUSTARD of Tazewell and Rev. J. A. MULLENS of Bristol. Interment was in Tazewell.
