Mrs. Eugene S. THOMAS died Sunday
morning at Roanoke. Mrs. THOMAS, formerly Miss Myrtle HANKINS,
was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Gillespie HANKINS of
Tazewell. She is survived by her husband, a member of the Norfold and
Western Railway engineering staff; three sisters; Misses Etta HANKINS
of Roanoke; May O. HANKINS of Richmond, and Mrs. Ella WEAVER,
of War, WV and two brothers Clyde and Blair HANKINS, both at
California. Interment was Tuesday morning in Maplewood cemetery, Tazewell
with the Rev. M.E.N. LINDSAY pastor of the Tazewell Christian Church
officiating.
